The death of a young American peace activist in Gaza, attracted international media attention. Now her story has been turned into a controversial but popular play using extracts from her letters.

Rachel Corrie travelled to Gaza in 2003 to prevent the Israeli government from bulldozing Palestinian homes. Rachel insisted demolitions were wrong; “These are homes that don’t have any connection necessarily with suicide bombers.” But she was killed when acting as a human shield to stop a home being bulldozed. A powerful profile of a committed and brave activist.
