Rio’s Vila Autódromo favela was once home to 900 families – until bulldozers moved in under the banner of Olympic development. Now those few who remain are fighting to keep their homes and their community alive.
12-year-old Naomy is tormented by the destruction of her neighbourhood. “Every wall that falls down contains a piece of your life”, she says, explaining that her father built their house with his own hands.
