For decades, the collectivist way of life in Israels Kibbutzes attracted thousands of volunteers. But now, the countrys original Kibbutz is bowing to the winds of market forces.
Kibbutz Degania inspired hundred of other kibbutzes. Everything was shared. That was the utopia, describes resident Tamar Gal-Sarai.
