From dirty water to air pollution and the rights of migrant workers – the artist known as “Nut Brother” is not afraid to tackle some of the most sensitive issues facing Chinese society.
His art performances and installations shine a spotlight on issues that others would often prefer to keep in the shadows.
But speaking out comes at a cost – he is under pressure from both his family and the authorities to abandon his art activism.
